Tito Jackson traces Michael's steps in Rio de Janeiro for charity "Winning by Giving"

Twenty years after Michael Jackson recorded his iconic "They Don't Care About Us" in a favela in Rio de Janeiro, Tito Jackson, returns to the marvelous city to film an appearance in the music video of the charity song "Winning by Giving" (with Mart'nália and kids) which will be released as the anthem of the international news and charity network entitled "My Good Planet", to be launched in Rio de Janeiro in the summer. A statue of Michael Jackson has long stood as a prime tourist attraction atop the Santa Marta favela in Rio's South Zone, and now Tito Jackson makes a mark with his message.  The project "Winniny By Giving" that is already established in Los Angeles, Ireland, and Germany, aims to bring sustainable gardens, clean water and communal safe places to disadvantaged, urban areas of Brazil. According Tito, the children of Santa Marta have long identified with the sentiment of Michael's anthem, so now it is time for a practical response showing that people do care.
"It is a great feeling to know that my brother was here 20 years ago and shared so much love and support for the people here and to know that Good Planet is continuing to carry on that spirit and that love in the ways they have done today. And I am so happy to be a part of it because it means so much to me to be among such beautiful people and it's very important. The Good Planet people say to teach young people how to grow fruit and vegetable, organic stuff, and how to have clean water, drinking water, clean up with water and things for the future of the children of Brazil," said Tito Jackson.

Tito Jackson in Brazil for participation in charity projects

Tito Jackson is in Brazil to film a cameo appearance in the favela of Rio de Janeiro with locals kids and drummers for the music video "WINNING BY GIVING" by Brazilian artist Mart'nália. Tito was asked to be part of this charity song and video and he is excited to contribute and shoot his cameo appearance for the music video in the same favela where his brother Michael Jackson filmed his music video for "They Don't Care About Us" (1996) twenty years ago. It means a lot for Tito to visit that same Favela because his brother embraced Brazil and the people as well.

WINNING BY GIVING is a program of My Good Planet:  a daily news alternative which provides insightful, objective analysis on a range of subjects which enrich the lives of our audience.

Mart'nália Mendonça Ferreira, known as Mart'nália (1965) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and percussionist. Jermaine spoke to US Weekly during the event and revealed that he's hoping the baby is a girl!  Jermaine couldn't contain his excitement at the news that his baby sister Janet was finally going to become a mother.

"My sister Janet is my baby. She is fine but she’s having a baby," he said. "A baby having a baby. We look at her like our little baby. And now she’s grown-up and she’s having a baby. I’m proud to be an uncle and I can’t wait to see how this baby is going to look," he said. Jermaine said that his sister hadn't opened up to him about any cravings she was having, although he was quite sure she would be eating plenty. "She is feeling fine. Oh, my God! Janet loves to eat. I really don’t know what she’s craving, but I do know that she likes to eat!" he said. Jermaine says Janet doesn't know the sex of the baby — though he's hoping for a girl. "We need more girls in the family," he said, laughing. "There are too many boys." And it's not just Jermaine who's looking forward to meeting Janet's new bundle of joy. Their late brother Michael Jackson's kids are delighted about their future cousin too. "Oh, yeah.
