Janet Jackson postpones all UK dates and European tour

Janet Jackson has postponed her entire UK and European tour, just three weeks before it was due to begin. Janet was due to bring her Unbreakable show to London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, but the gigs have now been called off. "It is not possible to confirm new dates at the present time so we are refunding all ticket holders," an email from Ticketmaster told fans. Further dates in Ireland, Germany and France have also been postponed. Janet has yet to issue a statement on the cancellation. She had been in Europe since mid-February preparing for the shows and attending Paris Fashion Week. On 13 February, she posted a video from London, telling fans: "I am so excited. We cannot wait to perform for you." Janet had been due to resume her tour in Birmingham on 30 March, having previously postponed 29 US dates after being advised to have surgery. She later denied rumours that she had been diagnosed with cancer. "I'm recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled," she wrote in a statement. "Thank you for your prayers and love." The postponed US dates were eventually rescheduled for July and August. Let's hope and pray that Janet will be alright....sending her much love, light and well wishes.

Jackson Source 10 Year Anniversary

Jackson Source was launched late February 2006 by Janneke van der Linden from The Netherlands. At that time, the Official Dutch Jackson Fanclub that I (Janneke) was a crew member of since 1998 ended its fan services after 27 years. I decided to launch Jackson Source, orginally planned as a temporarily service to former fan club members and fans to find their way into getting the latest news online. Ten years later, I published over 8 Jackson Magazines and my daily services to share the latest news about The Jacksons and The Next Generation provide a source for fans worldwide and all the pages and accounts have grown into a network. Read the tweets from The Jacksons and Jermaine Jackson on Twitter and watch the shout out videos from Tito Jackson, Taj, Jackson, Taryll Jackson and TJ Jackson for Jackson Source 10 Year Anniversary. Thanks to the Jackson Family for the inspiration, the music, the entertainment and for keeping the dream and legacy alive. And thanks for supporting Jackson Source! Thanks to fans, friends, family, managers, personal assistants, publicists, record labels, photographers and media sources for your support.

The Jacksons Talk Pulling Pranks with Brother Michael, Touring with Commodores

The Jacksons are dishing about pulling pranks with brother Michael and also talking about their long history of performing with the Commodores ahead of their scheduled show in Indio, California. Tito, Marlon, Jackie, and Jermaine Jackson are meeting their compadres the Commodores once again on tour. In an interview with CBS Radio’s KEZN in Palm Springs, the guys recall touring with the group. “We were doing a performance and the Commodores’ outfits didn’t show up,” Tito said. “They went on stage in their what, Tito?” Marlon asked. “They went on stage in their underwear,” Tito replied. The Commodores, made up of William “WAK” King, Walter Orange, and James Dean “J.D.” Nicholas, have been performing with The Jacksons since the beginning of their careers. “When we first started, they were touring with us around the world,” Jackie said.  The brothers continued their storytelling, recounting a time when they pranked their security guard. “I’ll tell you a little story about Michael; we used to be pranksters when we were growing up,” Marlon said. “Our security guy who we really loved, but Michael and I put itching powder in his bald head spot when he was sleeping. Yes we did,” he added.
