From EURweb.com, by Jerome Maida:
As everyone knows, Michael Jackson was a pioneer in breaking and pushing boundaries in the music industry, from being the first black artist featured regularly on MTV to using groundbreaking technology in his music videos. Now his nephew, Jaafar Jackson – son of Michael’s brother, Jermaine – is following in his famous uncle’s footsteps.
At “The Reveal” at the Dolby theater in Los Angeles of the new technology NASGO is betting it becomes the norm eventually, Jafaar Jackson performed in support of his new album, which he has earlier announced at the United Nations would be released in the new format called “tokenization.” He had made the announcement about the groundbreaking way he will release his album earlier at both the United Nations and then at the New York Stock Exchange.
Like his famous family, Jaafar Jackson wanted to make it clear he is releasing his album using this new technology to both be more accessible to fans and to be better able to support social causes.
“One of the biggest things (is) I want to bring awareness about things that are going on around the world through my music,” said Jafaar to EURweb in an exclusive interview.. “Using this technology and my music together, it’s definitely going to make me very happy.”
Jafaar feels the new blockchain/tokenization technology helps both artists and fans.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Michael Jackson’s black “Bad” jacket that the singer wore on his first solo tour is going up for auction in November and could fetch up to $100,000. Julien’s Auctions said on Friday that the jacket, which Jackson signed on the back with a silver permanent marker, was worn throughout the singer’s “Bad” world concert tour from 1987-89. The jacket, with multiple zippers, straps and buckles, is one of the late singer’s most iconic costume pieces alongside his red and black leather “Thriller” music video jacket that sold for $1.8 million at auction in 2011. Michael Jackson has become one of the most collectible celebrities. The “Bad” jacket is being sold by Texas businessman and philanthropist Milton Verret along with almost 100 other items from his large rock ‘n roll memorabilia collection. Verret also owns the “Thriller” jacket, which he takes around children’s hospitals, but is not putting that item up for auction.

Jaafar Jackson is creating history and is poised to revolutionize the music recording industry with the help of tokenized solutions from NASGO; a company helping businesses, sports influencers, musicians and many others to tokenize their businesses with features for point of sale, closer communication for customers, social media, tokenized loyalty programs, and as a means of supporting humanitarian causes.
In a move that will soon become pervasive for many performing artists, NASGO will assist in the creation of uniquely-branded digital tokens for use in rewarding followers and customers with branded merchandise, priority seating and early release of upcoming materials. Jaafar will also use the technology to support and advance social causes, and to continue the social impact legacy begun by Michael Jackson and currently championed by members of the Jackson family including father Jermaine.
Jaafar launched his Jusic token on the NASGO blockchain with an exclusive debut performance of four tracks with 1500 or Nothin' at the Hollywood Dolby Theatre on 27 October 2018! The movers and shakers behind Nasgo Nation, Eric Tippetts and Steve Chiang arranged a must-be and must-see event titled "The Reveal" to teach, show and demonstrate how Blockchain Technology is the next wave of business, entertainment, art and so much more!
Jaafar Jackson is making history by tokenizing his musical releases. Other artists are moving this direction as well, which could turn the music recording industry on its head.
