Paris Jackson, Charlize Theron, and Dame Shirley Bassey are the first slate of honorees for this year’s Life Ball charity event in Vienna on June 2. Paris will be receiving the LIFE+ Award on behalf of her godmother Elizabeth Taylor‘s AIDS foundation at the ball which is considered the largest charity event in Europe and aims to raise awareness for AIDS and HIV. “I’m passionate about ending the stigma and misinformation surrounding HIV/AIDS, and that’s why I have made it a mission of mine to continue this fight for acceptance and a cure,” Paris Jackson said.
“Thrity-five million people have died of related causes since the AIDS epidemic began in the ’80s, yet people are still afraid to talk about it because of the stigma attached. People don’t even want to be near someone that has HIV, even if that person has the medications required to prevent transmissions.”
She added, “I’m so proud of the work ETAF is doing, and for receiving the LIFE+ Award! The grant from Life Ball will go towards this life-saving work.”

A year after Aretha Franklin packed the streets in the theater district to inaugurate a new hometown festival, Detroit Music Weekend has another celebrated name on the way. The Jacksons will headline the event with a free outdoor performance June 16, returning to the city where Berry Gordy and Motown launched their career five decades ago. The group — Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon Jackson — will stage a 75-minute production in front of a video wall featuring performance footage of their late younger brother, Michael Jackson, as they celebrate a career stacked with '70s hits such as "I Want You Back," "ABC," "I'll Be There" and "Dancing Machine." Their main-stage set will be part of a multi-day Jackson 5 celebration at Detroit Music Weekend, including a June 15 gala that will feature a fashion show and Jacksons tribute concert led by veteran Detroit musician Kern Brantley, bandleader for Lady Gaga.

1 April is Dee Dee's birthday and known as 3T Day. THANK YOU, Dee Dee for bringing your sons Taj, Taryll and TJ in this world who bring so much joy and inspiration into ours. Delores “Dee Dee” Jackson’s mission in life was simple: to protect, love and guide as many people as possible—near and far, family, friend or stranger. To Dee Dee, giving back was one of life’s greatest vocations. She stopped at nothing to make a difference - dedicating her time and resources to raise money for schools, communities, and charities. Simply put, Dee Dee always thrived to make a positive impact in the world. In honor of 3T Day and Dee Dee, make a donation to DEE DEE JACKSON FOUNDATION at www.ddjf.org so 3T can continue to provide an outlet for those who have suffered a loss in life.
